BMT's Learning & Development Offer
Every employee has an annual career conversation with their manager to discuss their career aspirations, interests and development needs. The outcomes of this are used to create a unique personal development plan for the coming year.
Our Career Map supports these conversations by providing clear guidance on behavioural and technical expectations at every stage, enabling you to identify your learning needs and which of BMT’s development offerings can assist your progression.
We place great importance on learning and development for our employees, so it was vital that during the pandemic, in collaboration with our trusted development partners, we adapted our offer in terms of content and delivery methods to ensure that learning and development could continue - our global Leadership, Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes all switched to virtual delivery; new programmes on leading virtual teams and virtual collaboration communities were developed; and we introduced guidance to employees and managers on how to access our virtual resources.
Last year, we saw a significant increase in training activity across the globe which we believe is attributed to our exciting new range of development programmes and learning platforms which are now available to all employees. We listen to our members of staff and strive to provide the learning and development opportunities they need, presented in ways way which they find engaging.
