BMT AM Review

Full Audit

A full audit gives you a comprehensive understanding of how effectively you derive value from your assets and offers the most precise picture of your organisational asset management performance. It provides broad and profound insight that highlights the performance of each area of your business in detail and points the way to achieving targeted improvement. We assess your business against a pre-defined, 6-point scale against the seven roles of asset management, with results provided visually as radar plots and heat maps and recommendations for the next steps.

Mid-level Review

Following the same protocol as a full review entails fewer interviews.

Shallow Dive Review

We use remote access to interrogate the information in your management systems. The output uses the same scoring criteria as a full audit or mid-level review, albeit more concisely.

The Institute of Asset Management endorses us to analyse your approach to asset management against prescribed criteria.

We can provide assessment services at different levels of complexity, depending on your needs:

Maturity Improvement

In specific geographies and industries, such as the UK rail sector, the highways sector, the Australian Defence market and some US Federal agencies such as the Army Corps of Construction, ISO55000 certification is required.  Our consultants take a hand-in-glove approach to assessing and improving your systems to support you through your ISO certification and approval journey.

We recognise that legacy systems can still be valid parts of a revamped asset management information system. However, you can gain a significant competitive advantage by avoiding reliance on a specific software solution and using innovative tools and techniques along with deep expertise in AI and machine learning.

Recognising and retaining effective legacy systems, tools and techniques, and blending them with innovative ideas is key to success.

  • Reduced costs and improved control
  • An optimised mix of assets
  • Fully traceable decisions that are informed by a full spectrum of data

Technical asset lifecycle management

We have a comprehensive list of capabilities applicable at any point of an asset’s life cycle as it moves from concept to design to in-service and disposal.

Depending on your requirements, these capabilities can be applied singularly or in combination to improve performance, reduce change control, and improve availability, reliability and safety. We can also act as independent advisors or take responsibility for aspects of your asset base – reducing your management burden and shouldering the risk for you.

Customers rely on us to manage their equipment throughout the asset lifecycle or apply our capabilities at a specific point for specific equipment. Reviewing at a fleet level brings in supply and support considerations.
