Solutions

A floating platform of dimensions 200m x 19.2m was constructed and moored at site in Semakau Landfill, Singapore. The floating platform is planned to be used for dumping incinerated ash at the Semakau landfill. We were appointed by Jurong Consultant to provide related services.

Benefits

Scope of work was as follows:

Phase 1:

• Concept design of Floating platform, which consists of 5 pontoons of size 40X19.2m. Designed Pontoons were capable of taking two full loaded 70T dumping truck and a long arm excavator to support the operation.
• Concept design of Linkspan and A frame to provide access from the shore side to the floating platform.
• Concept design of mooring system for FP while in operation and facilitate the shifting of FP from one place to another.

Phase 2:

• Preparation of tender specification based on the concept design.
• Provision of consultancy services for Tenders evaluation and appointment of Design & Build Contractor.

Phase 3:

• Project Management Consultancy services during design, construction, installation and commissioning of FP by the appointed contractor.
