We focus on the smooth flow of materials throughout the site and improving the lag time from production to delivery. We can advise on sophisticated methods to reduce your cost of production, the speed at which materials are supplied and received. Well, thought-through material handling systems will also protect the safety of workers.
Our highly customisable ROAR software platform was developed in-house to
allow us to very rapidly customise a solution for your requirements.
BMT’s 3D Remnant Coal Scanner is a hardware and software solution for detecting and reporting remnant bulk materials in rail wagons. The solution provides operators and planners with precise real-time bulk material carry back data enabling quantitative decision making at any level. This information is provided to the operator in real-time for immediate resolution and periodic reports.
The solution consists of precision 3D laser scanners mounted in the rail facility and an industrial computer. Remnant coal data can be readily visualised or downloaded at any location in formats suitable for operators, supervisors, or planners.
We can quickly and accurately diagnose problems and find the cause of failures. We use powerful software and computing hardware to provide rapid answers to complex problems involving stress analysis and fluid flows, particle dynamics (discrete element modelling), heat transfer, structural and drive dynamics and control systems. In addition, we have the practical experience and customer focus to understand the individual factors that may contribute to problems or accidents during material handling.
We can help you make maintenance more effective while reducing total life cycle costs. From providing advice to implementing or managing comprehensive plans, we can deliver:
We improve productivity and reduce downtime by accurately diagnosing potential problems and early failures in your bulk handling machinery and systems. We identify ways to re-engineer your current designs to address issues before they occur or correct them after the event. Across the range of bulk handling machinery, we can recognise and implement the improvements that deliver what we call ‘smart productivity’.
We can help you extend the operational life of your bulk handling systems as an alternative to replacement. The first step is to assess if this is a safe and cost-effective option, which involves measuring and analysing all potential failure areas. We then identify the most appropriate structural or mechanical upgrade strategies and manage any resulting modifications.
