Luuk Schipper

Marine Surveyor

After graduating as Maritime Officer at the University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Zeeland) in Vlissingen, The Netherlands, Luuk continued his studies with a minor in Offshore Renewable Energy.

His sailing career took him into the fascinating offshore industry where he gained experience in projects on board one of the world’s most famous and largest semi-submersible crane vessels. Luuk then continued as deck officer sailing on container feeders where he boosted his experience in navigating the busy traffic lanes around NW-Europe and the stowage aspects on board container ships with often very quick port rotations.

Hungry to increase his maritime experience, he then continued as a deck officer on board LPG tankers after which he decided that it was time for him to use his maritime knowledge in one of the most exciting maritime occupations; that of a marine surveyor. Luuk is stationed at the Rotterdam office.
