Bruno Storms has a strong background in the marine industry. He has a seagoing career of more than 10 years as Marine Engineer up to the rank of Chief Engineer.
His career as a marine surveyor began in 1992 as a surveyor for H&M, P&I, general average surveys, collision damage and angle of blow, salvage investigations, sale, purchase and condition inspection, repair specifications and calculations. In particular he has experience with reefer vessels, gas carriers and dredgers, port related constructions and equipment, carrying out surveys worldwide.
In his current position he is also Managing Director for BMT Belgium N.V. in Antwerp and he is the preferred surveyor for the Algerian Shipping Company HYPROC (technical evaluations of LNG & LPG vessels) and for their Hull and Machinery Underwriters Messrs. Cash for damage consultancies.

Jochen Schenk studied Mechanical Engineering and took an additional commercial course.
After his study he joined a firm specializing in conducting inspections and thickness gauging on board sea-going as well as inland waterway vessels. He has many years of experience in conducting inspections and thickness gauging on board various craft.
In 2002 Jochen started as a Marine Surveyor with D. Hoebee BV at Barendrecht. From 2007 to 2018 Jochen filled the position of Manager of the former Barendrecht office. In 2019 he was appointed Director of the Amsterdam office of BMT Netherlands BV.
Jochen is a registered surveyor with the NIVRE (Dutch Association of Registered Surveyors) and a member Register van Taxateurs (VRT) and VEKRB.
Over the years, Jochen has handled a number of high profile cases and investigated major claims worldwide in connection with general averages, collisions, fires, oil spillages, machinery breakdowns, crane damages on behalf of H&M Underwriters, Owners, Charterers and their respective P&I clubs.
The scope of his work amongst others covers sea vessels, inland barges, yachts and land based equipment.
