About The Role


Join our UK Finance team as a Finance Business Partner, supporting the UK Head of Accounting and the Operational Finance Director, while working closely with the wider Finance team. 

You will play a key part in helping the UK business manage and forecast the cost base of our support functions. Taking an active role in the budget process is a central responsibility, as is building relationships with stakeholders overseeing Global Business Support functions within BMT.


You will work alongside the UK Financial Control and Compliance team, ensuring all day-to-day responsibilities are covered, especially during holidays, sick leave, and busy periods. Our team values flexibility and a collaborative approach, often taking on ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

About You


We are looking for someone who is ready to be a team player in the BMT finance team and who brings the following:


Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Regional Budget holders with regular reviews of actuals and updating full-year forecasts, including headcount reviews.
  • Helping Regional Budget holders prepare for review meetings with the Regional Business Director.
  • Working with the Financial Control and Compliance team to understand actuals and assist with monthly accruals.
  • Ensuring cashflow management is central to business decisions.
  • Assisting the Operational Finance Director with the annual budget process, including review meetings for overhead cost base budgets and headcount requirements.
  • Supporting the transition to IFS Cloud.
  • Maintaining property schedules to assist with rent-free period calculations.
  • Assisting with setting up and calculating a variety of recharges of costs between BMT inter-companies.
  • Working with the Head of Innovation and Research on reclaiming R&D tax credits.
  • Carrying out other ad hoc tasks as required to achieve the role’s purpose.

Key knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to choose the right approach for each situation.
  • Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, and strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strategic and logical thinking.
  • Respect for and commitment to the group’s unique ethos as an employee benefit trust.
