BMT are looking for a Programme Manager within our Environment arm, specifically supporting our Coastal and Maritime teams. This team spans our APAC business and therefore this role can be located anywhere BMT have an office in Australia. Brisbane or Perth is preferred due to current team location.
The Environment arm of BMT provides integrated water, science and engineering consulting services, with a focus on marine, coastal, floodplain and waterway environments. Areas of specialisation include numerical modelling, engineering design and advice, data collection and monitoring, and scientific analysis. We assist clients with planning, design, approvals, compliance, design, emergency response and decommissioning works.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in coastal and maritime engineering or programme management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior delivery role overseeing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in coastal engineering, maritime engineering, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a technical consultancy with high level understanding of coastal processes, maritime infrastructure and environmental systems including dredging, erosion control, metocean and marine studies, with expert level knowledge in one relevant area.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and secure new work through strong client relationships, strategic positioning, and the development of compelling proposals and bids.
- Excellent knowledge of programme lifecycle management, including bidding, planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Familiarity with Australian and international environmental legislation, permitting processes, and compliance standards relevant to coastal and maritime works.
- Good commercial acumen including solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance metrics.
