Ad de Klerk had a seagoing career, up to the rank of Chief Officer on board multipurpose/dry cargo vessels, followed by 2 years as cargo/loading supervisor. Ad gained all round experience in performing nautical investigations on different issues concerning cargo damage, as well as the handling/loading stowage of general cargo/project cargo/yachts, heavy lifts and offshore equipment, and the securing of this kind of cargo for deep-sea shipping, inland water shipping and road transport.
