Arjan van Aalst

Marine Surveyor / Salvage Consultant / SCR

Arjan van Aalst is a qualified master mariner and marine engineer with 12 years of seagoing experience on board various types of vessels including general cargo and container vessels up to the rank of first maritime officer.

After his career at sea, Arjan worked as a salvage master in the Dutch salvage industry for 5 years. In this position he was responsible for the successful completion of many high-profile salvage cases and wreck removals.

Arjan deals with technical and salvage related matters, ranging from in-depth studies to emergency response actions. He is a trained operator of Delftship stability software. In 2016 Arjan was appointed as Special Casualty Representative (SCR) by Lloyds.
