Description

The Commercial & Contracts Administrator is a member of the North American Commercial and Operations Team reporting to the Vice President – Commercial Director. The role is primarily focused on ensuring the conditions are in place to professionally and efficiently contract with all clients from lead qualification, initial negotiation to contract closeout and archiving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor client Master Services Agreements.
  • Negotiate and administer all Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and routine commercial arrangements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage requirements of NDAs ensuring compliance. 
  • Support negotiations of more complex contracts, standing agreements and subcontracts.
  • Maintain company data on Third-Party Validation sites (ISN, Complyworks, etc.) Ensure BMT maintains a score allowing it to contract when an opportunity arises.
  • Complete client questionnaires.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost by establishing standing agreements with suppliers with preferred pricing.
  • Monitor contractual status and arranging contract renewals in advance of contract expiry
  • Liaise with insurers to provide clients with required proof of coverage and work with insurers to meet client’s insurance needs.
  • Support bid teams to ensure bids are commercially compliant.
  • Administer corporate registry and related filings.
  • Administer general commercial contracts (purchase agreements, Purchase Orders, preferred supplier arrangements.
  • Monitor corporate risk register.
  •  Administer real property leases. 
  • Support Corporate Secretary in preparing filings and annual returns with appropriate government agencies and maintaining minute book. 
  • Facilitate and monitor compliance with Global and Regional Commercial policies and procedures.
  • Support and backup other functions of the team including Facilities, Security and Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ)

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in contract management preferably in or for Government, and the Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Familiarity with Standard Acquisition and Conditions Clauses. 
  • Completion of a post-secondary education with a focus in law or business.
  • Familiar with Canadian and/or United States contract laws. 
  • Well-developed administrative and analytical skills.

Salary Range

$65,000 - 75,000
