Following the recent appointment of Ronald Schörk to the team, BMT, a global leader in marine surveying, incident investigation and technical consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Erik Boer as Technical Marine Consultant. With over 20 years of experience in maritime operations, offshore project management, and heavy lifting, Erik brings specialist skills that enhance BMT’s technical capability and industry knowledge.
This appointment reflects BMT's ongoing commitment to delivering comprehensive and specialised services that meet the evolving needs of its clients. Under the leadership of Dennis de Bruin, Managing Director for BMT’s casualty investigation division, Erik Boer’s expertise will further strengthen BMT’s ability to provide high-quality marine consulting and technical services.
Erik has a proven track record of technical leadership in complex and high-risk environments. He has successfully managed global operations ranging from salvage and wreck removal to FPSO module transport, offshore wind installations and commissioning. His hands-on experience in planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination and quality assurance will directly support BMT’s drive for operational excellence across its technical service portfolio.
Holding a Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master unlimited and a solid background in maritime studies, Erik brings decades of practical experience to the team. His expertise spans wreck removal, salvage operations, claims and casualty investigation, hull and machinery (H&M) assessments, and damage evaluation and repair advice.
