A vessel life extension programme was launched to maintain safe, effective healthcare delivery by addressing wear and tear and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Completing the life extension programme delivered multiple benefits:
Strategic engineering by BMT enabled MV Africa Mercy to sustain its missions, reinforcing its humanitarian and maritime excellence.
We were commissioned to undertake the design, implementation and validation of reinforcement solutions for carbodies and bogies of an entire fleet, with the intent of extending their service lives from 30 to 45 years.
Our consultants implemented a complex Enterprise Architecture approach based around TOGAF9, BPMN and ArchiMate for the Transforming Rehabilitation Programme (TRP).
BMT was appointed by Technics Oil & Gas Ltd. to conduct a mooring analysis for an 80m LOA vessel and advice on the maximum ship size which can berth at the wharf.
Through its 36 years in the business of naval ship design, AMT has performed some great projects from end to end with the HMAS Sirius Program being one such program, being a novel approach to meeting RAN needs at the time. It involved the acquisition of a commercial product tanker, a period of preparation for competition in design and build for its conversion, then the conversion itself. This was an extensive conversion and under tight time pressure to deliver an Auxiliary Oiler (AO) for fleet underway liquid replenishment and other specific requirements commensurate with the demands of Naval service. The 37,000 tonne deadweight double hull product tanker, MV DELOS, was purchased for this purpose.
