BMT welcomes Tim Glanister to support growth across ports and resources in Asia Pacific

BMT has appointed Tim Glenister as business development manager, ports and resources – APAC, bringing extensive marine operations and port maintenance experience to support customers across the region.

Based in Australia, Tim will work with port owners, operators and resources customers, helping connect their operational challenges with BMT’s engineering, environmental and asset management expertise.

Tim brings more than 15 years of experience across ports, marine operations, subsea and energy sectors. Previously, as regional manager at Neptune Marine and Bhagwan Marine, he led Victorian operations with responsibility for health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ), financial performance and operational delivery. During this time, he managed marine maintenance contracts for the Port of Melbourne and Ports Victoria, covering navigational aids, wharf inspections, pile repairs, wharf repairs and emergency response activities supporting shipping channel operation.

His experience also includes delivering marine and infrastructure projects across Australia, including navigational repairs, offshore wind Lidar installation and maintenance and wharf upgrades for terminal operators. He has also supported complex decommissioning projects, including the disposal of Thevenard Island Infrastructure (Chevron) and the Campbell and Harriet A platforms and jackets (Santos).

Having worked directly in marine operations, Tim brings an operator's perspective to the challenges facing ports today, including maintaining ageing infrastructure, improving asset performance, managing operational resilience and planning for future energy requirements.

Tim’s appointment supports BMT’s continued focus on helping port owners, operators and authorities make informed decisions across the lifecycle of their maritime assets, from maintenance and optimisation through to future infrastructure planning.
