We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Steel as our new Regional Capability Director for UK & Europe, strengthening our leadership team as BMT continues to focus on growth, diversification and supporting our customers on their digital transformation journey.
Mark rejoins BMT bringing extensive leadership and operational experience from across aerospace, defence, telecoms and energy, having most recently held senior roles within Capgemini Engineering in the UK, where he led large, multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, science, delivery and operations.
His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for us at BMT as the business continues to evolve its capabilities, expand into new markets and support customers navigating increasingly complex technical, environmental and operational challenges.
With a strong background in complex delivery and transformation, Mark brings proven experience in shaping high-performing technical organisations, fostering collaboration at scale and translating strategy into delivery. Having previously worked at BMT, he also brings a deep understanding of the company’s heritage, values and purpose-driven culture.
Earlier in his career, Mark supported major defence acquisition programmes and worked across the maritime enterprise to strengthen collaboration and drive international growth, experience that will be central to his role at BMT.
Mark commented:
“I’m incredibly excited to be returning to BMT at such an important point in its journey. BMT has a unique combination of deep technical expertise, purpose and people, and this is what drew me back. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and customers to transform through digital technology, embrace new opportunities across sectors, and help shape the next phase of BMT’s growth and diversification.”
