As offshore wind farms expand and become increasingly critical to national infrastructure, they also face growing cyber vulnerabilities. Previous attacks have already compromised confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems.
Two of our cyber security experts, Neil Stiff and Harvey Bailey presented on the topic at RenewableUK's Global Offshore Wind 2025 recently, where they demonstrated that defence methodologies can effectively transfer to the offshore wind industry. By implementing Secure-by-Design principles and continuous assurance, they proactively addressed the unique cyber challenges in a cost-effective manner, enhancing energy security and managing growing cyber risks.
