Erik completed both an MBO and HBO in maritime studies, which combines both a practical and theoretical maritime education ensuring an accelerated career growth into more complex maritime roles. Erik has over 17 years of globally recognised technical and maritime experience in heavy lifting, offshore assembly, maritime salvage and project management.
Erik has led salvage operations around the world, overseen large scale offshore projects and managed teams in challenging environments, ensuring safe and efficient execution of technically demanding operations. He is highly skilled in technical operational leadership and excels in project management. His adaptability and problem solving skills makes him highly successful at managing high risk, technical operations.
Erik joined BMT at the beginning of October 2025, his strong technical skills further strengthen BMT’s ability to offer specialised services in the H&M (Hull and Machinery), claims and casualty investigation area.
