Designed by BMT with Penguin Shipyard International, MPA Guardian is a 35-metre aluminium hybrid-electric catamaran commissioned for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Built for multi-role maritime operations, it combines versatility with sustainable propulsion, supporting patrolling, search & rescue, oil spill response, drone deployment, and salvage missions.
Key Features:
- Survivor Capacity: Up to 24 survivors with a bespoke wheelhouse.
- Rigid-Inflatable Boat (RIB): 7?m fast rescue craft, launched via a custom Launch and Recovery System (LARS).
- Hybrid Propulsion:
• Electric: Silent 6-knot cruising for up to 3 hours.
• Diesel-electric: Efficient medium-speed operation with battery charging.
