What We Delivered

BMT delivered ship-handling simulations to determine the impact of the marine environment on different types of vessels arriving and departing from the Sinopec West Point terminal in Indonesia.

The simulations were carried out via BMT’s proprietary desktop simulator, BMT REMBRANDT, using simulated hydrodynamic currents of the area.  

Outcome and Benefits

Scope of work for the simulation was as follows:

  1. Setup and prepare navigation simulation software, BMT REMBRANDT as per layout provided by WPT;
  2. Conducting marine navigation simulations for designed vessels at three berths using environmental site condition based on metocean data of the area;
  3. Extracting navigation simulation results, analysis and reporting.
