Strategic Accounts Director
Andrew is our Strategic Accounts Director. He has 18 years' experience working on offshore, fixed and floating oil and gas production infrastructure projects, and the maritime distribution infrastructure for produced oil and gas.
Working in the capacity of an Electronic Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager and Project Sponsor/Director for the delivery of global Asset Integrity and Asset Performance monitoring and decision support tools, he has intimate knowledge of the full spectrum of infrastructure types from near shore out to deepwater installations, including WHPs, Jackets, TLPs, Spars, Semi-Submersibles and FPSOs, their mooring types/configurations, all associated SURF infrastructure (Subsea Umbilical's, Risers and Flowlines) and offloading/distribution schemes/schedules.

Karim is a Senior Principal Civil Engineer with a 18-year record of overseeing the design and construction of largescale dredging, reclamation, and coastal management projects from inception to completion. His key areas of expertise include capital and maintenance dredging works, onshore land disposal of dredged material, land reclamation, beneficial reuse of dredged material, beach nourishment works, coastal management works and marine geotechnical engineering. Karim has been part of the engineering and supervision team of the capital dredging and land reclamation of the World Islands and Palm Deira in Dubai, the Darwin Port and Port of Cairns in Australia. Karim currently heads the dredging consultancy team at BMT. Karim has in depth understanding of the intricacies particular to challenging dredging and coastal management projects, is Project Management Professional Certified and is passionate about client-side project management and helping clients solve complicated challenges.

Tom Matthewson leads our Environmental Services capability in the UK and Europe. The Environmental Services team at BMT has a group specialising in environmental management and sustainability, flood and coastal risk and resilience, and EIA and permitting. Tom is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and Principal EIA Assessor of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). Tom has over 28 years’ experience in marine environmental assessment studies for a wide range of public and private sector projects and programmes, including a number of coastal, estuary and river flood risk strategies. He has a particular interest in ports and other marine infrastructure, and flood and coastal resilience, and advising clients in these sectors on how to meet their goals whilst minimising their impacts on the natural and human environment.

Phillip is our Business Development Manager and brings with him a wealth of experience in business development, software and technical sales, and environmental consulting across multiple industries. His most recent position was as Business Development and Account Management for the world’s leading GIS software company and prior to that he was an executive for an Enhanced Reality software company creating Digital Twins and training simulators for refineries and chemical plants. Phillip has an educational background in Geophysics and Philosophy, is a professional musician in his spare time, and looks to the real stars as an amateur astronomer.
