Business Development Manager
Lee is a seasoned professional in the maritime industry, with nearly two decades of experience spanning business development, sales management, and naval architecture. Currently serving as a Business Development Manager at BMT, Lee specializes in providing innovative engineering solutions to commercial and government maritime clients. In addition, as a Director at Large for the Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI), Lee plays a key role in advocating for the growth and sustainability of British Columbia’s marine sector.
Prior to joining BMT, Lee held multiple leadership positions at Vard Marine Inc. over a 14-year tenure, with roles including Senior Naval Architect and Project Manager and eventually Business Development Manager. Throughout this time, Lee developed expertise in project management, customer relationship management, proposal development, and strategic marketing. Earlier in the career journey, Lee worked as a Marine Design Draughtsman at BMT and a Sales Manager at Holt, gaining valuable hands-on experience in design and commercial operations.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Marine Technology – Naval Architecture from the University of Plymouth. Passionate about fostering innovation and efficiency in maritime engineering, Lee combines technical knowledge, business acumen, and industry advocacy to drive meaningful impact in the field
