The Consultant Engineer/Scientist (Environmental Approvals) position is responsible for professionally and efficiently undertaking environmental management and environmental approvals tasks. The role has a strong project orientation and contributes to the team in which it operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Support environmental approvals, environmental management and project delivery activities under the guidance of senior staff.
- Apply standard technical practices, procedures and policies to deliver project outcomes.
- Assist with project management activities, including scope, budget, scheduling and resource coordination.
- Build technical capability through professional development, training and practical experience.
- Support client engagement, stakeholder consultation and regulator liaison.
- Contribute to environmental assessments, management plans, risk assessments and approval applications.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, proposals and tender submissions.
- Work collaboratively within project teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
In addition to these duties, the post holder may be required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required, from time to time, to achieve the above role purpose.
