Job Title: IFS Cloud Technical Developer
 
Contract Type: Permanent

Location: In terms of location, this is a remote role. Please note that travel to BMT offices in the UK and overseas will be required.

About The Role


Join our IFS Cloud In-Service Support Team as an IFS Cloud Software Developer. You’ll play a vital part in the implementation and ongoing development of IFS Cloud ERP software across all BMT operating regions. This role is central to ensuring our systems are aligned with strategic business objectives and operational readiness.

You’ll be involved in the design, development, and deployment of new system features and enhancements, supporting the long-term goals of the organisation. Your work will help shape the future of our ERP landscape, ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs of our business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the configuration, administration, and customisation of the IFS Cloud platform
  • Overseeing update and release management to ensure smooth deployments
  • Planning and executing testing activities, including regression and user acceptance testing
  • Diagnosing and resolving system faults and defects
  • Translating business requirements and functional specifications into clear technical solutions
  • Leading or supporting data migration from legacy systems into IFS Cloud
  • Applying a sound understanding of segregation of duties to maintain appropriate access controls in a multi-national, multi-company environment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure ERP solutions meet business and compliance needs
  • Continuously improving ERP processes, standards, and documentation

You’ll report to the ERP Manager and work closely with the IFS Product Owner, Service Desk Manager, Project Implementation Team, and key business stakeholders.

About You

You have proven experience working with IFS Cloud, including system configuration and administration. You understand update and release processes and have hands-on experience with testing methodologies and tools. You’re proficient in report development using IFS technologies and have a solid grasp of data migration principles and best practices.

You’re comfortable turning requirements into solutions and have an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Your communication and interpersonal abilities enable you to build effective working relationships across teams.


Experience with Oracle database management (monitoring and performance) is desirable but not essential.
