We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager based in Perth, who will be the technical authority for one of our programs. This role will be responsible for ensuring engineering governance, safety, certification, and technical assurance of sustainment activities across the specified project fleet. 
 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will deliver innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions for maritime sustainment. We have opportunities for seasoned defence professionals in various engineering disciplines, including but not limited to:
  • Act as the delegated engineering authority for the program. 
  • Ensure compliance with Defence Seaworthiness Management System and NSSG/CASG engineering frameworks. 
  • Provide technical leadership to an engineering workforce across mechanical, electrical, combat systems, and naval architecture. 
  • Manage design changes, modifications, and engineering assurance processes. 
  • Lead technical risk management, safety cases, and certification approvals. 
  • Liaise with end customers, regulators, and OEMs. 
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and safety. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Minimum 5 years working in Engineering Management. 
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Naval Architecture, or related). 
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent status. 
  • Strong knowledge of naval platform sustainment practices. 
  • Demonstrated technical authority and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Must hold or be eligible for NV1 Defence security clearance.
