INPEX Browse, Ltd (Company) was awarded an Exploration License in 1998, by the Commonwealth Government, for the Permit area WA-285-P (R1), which lies in the Browse Basin in Western Australia.
The Ichthys Field lies approximately 440km north of Broome and 800km southwest of Darwin.
INPEX are currently investigating possible supply bases for servicing this facility including a facility at Point Torment in King Sound.
This Contract relates to a data collection and for the Company’s investigation of a possible supply base at Pt Torment.
This includes data collection using boat mounted ADCP and Pressure Sensors loacated a 3 positions from Sunday Strait to Long Island as well as subsequent data analysis.
Services & Expertise Provided
- Compilation of instrument specifications, maintenance and calibration records for client review;
- Measurement of Tides and Water Currents within and offshore from King Sound over 2 weeks;
- Collation of supporting meteorological data; and
- Data reduction and analysis including quality assurance review prior to delivery to the client.
