The project of the electromagnetic field emission measurements for the MTR Phase IV Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) is to obtain the measurement data and verify that the emission level of the Phase IV LRV can meet the EMC standard: EN 50121 Part 3-1: Rolling Stock – Train and Complete Vehicle.
EMC Management for a railway project, Hong Kong
BMT was responsible for Electromagnetic Compatibility Management (EMC) management and preparing hazard/risk analysis, hazard log, FMECA, QRA, RAM demonstration plan, etc. for the Traction Power Supply, Overhead Line System, and Tunnel Ventilation System of the Hong Kong MTR Kowloon Southern Link (KSL) which links the existing East Rail Line's East Tsim Sha Tsui Station with the West Rail line's Nam Cheong Station.
EMC Management of an Airport Metro Express Line, India
BMT was appointed as an Electromagnetic Compatibility Management (EMC) consultant for the platform screen door system of Dehli's airport metro express line. BMT assisted in the preparation of the EMC management plan, EMI hazard analysis, EMC design review, EMC specification and test plan, and EMC test report submissions.
Environmental Impact Assessment for a major road upgrade, Hong Kong
The Project was to upgrade the remaining 5.2 km long sections of Kam Tin Road and Lam Kam Road from a substandard single two-lane carriageway into a standard 7.3m wide carriageway, with the associated improvement of pedestrian facilities and public transport laybys. BMT was appointed to conduct an EIA for this road improvement project. Key environmental issues include air quality, noise, water quality, waste, land contamination, cultural heritage and landscape and visual impact assessment.
Environmental Review and Evaluation of major roadway, Hong Kong
After completion of construction, a review of the Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the Trunk Road T7 at Ma On Shan was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental mitigation measures implemented during construction and opening of the Trunk Road T7. A 3-Dimensional (3-D) VRML model was established to visualize the environmental outcomes before and after the implementation of the environmental mitigation measures over the construction and operation stages (e.g. air quality and noise during construction, traffic noise and landscape and visual impact during operation). 3-D animations on fly-through and drive-through simulations were produced to demonstrate an overview of the project.
