In these challenging times, we understand the difficulties faced when needing to audit and inspect your vessels. The current international travel restrictions for Covid-19 probably makes it difficult, if not impossible, for your superintendents to perform the necessary ship visits.
BMT offers tailormade solutions to assist you in dealing with these challenges. In addition to having key offices in the leading shipping region of Northwestern Europe, we maintain a large external network of surveyors in various disciplines, covering ports worldwide.
Within the Hamburg – Le Havre range (including the complete ARA range) we have set up a team of (Master) mariners, marine engineers, naval architects, cargo consultants and lead auditors that can attend your vessels in:
We can act on short notice, without being limited by Covid-19 travel restrictions. If compulsory for on-board attendance, our staff can take precautionary Covid-19 tests to demonstrate that they are Covid-19 negative upon attendance.
Most of the above services can also be offered though our network of surveyors, providing global coverage in many different fields of expertise. Do not hesitate to contact us about the available options to cover your specific needs in any of these locations.
For reporting and documentation purposes, we can use your in-house reporting templates or provide you with a tailormade inspection template. We would also like to draw your attention to the capabilities of our MATE platform, which is a vessel condition monitoring tool that assists in conducting inspections and visualising results in a clear and concise manner.
Please visit our website for more information and do take a moment to watch the posted videos.
In addition to inspection and audit services, BMT continues to deliver their core expertise in P&I, H&M and cargo disputes, as well as (marine) fire investigations. These services are also offered on a global scale, using our global network of surveyors.
Feel free to contact us for a more than interesting proposal, so you can ensure your vessels are certified and comply with the standards you want to uphold in your business.

We have reached an important milestone with MATE. As of today, our cloud-based tool called MATE has been used for more than 2,000 surveys.
