BMT wins US Forest Service NEPA contract

BMT continues to grow its environmental consulting services for the U.S. Forest Service by winning another new Blanket Purchase Agreement contract.

21 March 2018

The five-year multiple-award agreement provides the Forest Service with services and expertise to execute environmental analysis and study projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in Region 8. BMT is authorized to bid on all geographic areas and offers services across all labour categories, from botanists and biologists to economists and sociologists. The geographic scope includes the entire U.S. Southeast and Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Virginia, and Puerto Rico.

According to Rick Cox, BMT’s Vice President in charge of the firm’s environmental business line, the new contract is one in a series of BMT contract wins supporting the Forest Service. In 2017, BMT won a five-year agreement supporting Region 8 with site assessment, removal and remedial actions, and other environmental consulting services. BMT has recently provided sampling, site investigation, range assessment, and other ecological services in South Carolina, Florida, and Arkansas.

“BMT’s relationship with the Forest Service has been excellent, and we are proud to continue growing our business to support its wide range of program requirements”.

The Alexandria-based business has provided environmental services for U.S. Federal agencies since 1995, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Defense.
