BMT has secured a four-year contract with the UK’s Ministry of Defence to support the Air Defence & Electronic Warfare Systems (ADEWS) Delivery Team.
From the Falklands to the UK and deployed locations throughout the world in often remote locations, the ADEWS Delivery Team is responsible for the through-life capability management of current air defence and ground-based electronic warfare systems.
Becky Hazel, ADEWS Commercial Manager explains: “After a competitive tender, BMT was awarded a four-year contract to provide data collection and analysis services for the ADEWS Delivery Team. We are glad to be able to continue working with BMT as over a long period, they have proved themselves to be a trusted partner who understands our business, has provided value for money services and delivered the goods.”
Through the delivery of In-Service Availability Confirmation (ISAC) data collection and analysis services, BMT will collect and analyse support data from T101, T102, T92 and TPS77 radars to determine downtime, routine and non-routine, and in turn advise the ADEWS team if its prime contractors are meeting a range of Key Performance Indicators.
During this contract, BMT will introduce its industry leading managed service and software package, RAMtr@ck, which will automate much of the data gathering and analysis, driving cost efficiencies into the programme. RAMtr@ck will also help improve stores usage, track equipment configuration and provide near live visibility of key data and metrics. This will allow the ADEWS team to speed up decision making, while providing efficiencies in the development and management of maintenance records.
Baz Flower, Marketing & Sales Director at BMT Asset Performance says: “We are really proud to have won this contract, building on two decades of supporting the ADEWS team. We are looking forward to applying a range of Asset Management skills that will drive efficiencies into the programme and show clear benefits to our customer.”
