BMT Hi-Q Sigma (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group, has been awarded a G-Cloud 9 framework contract under Lot 3: Cloud Support following its application under the most recent iteration of the G-Cloud contracting mechanism.
The G-Cloud Framework covers the process of buying, managing and using cloud based ICT services which can be procured and deployed in a matter of hours on a pay as you go basis. These services can be accessed through the Digital Marketplace (formerly CloudStore) providing an online catalogue for government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector.
Previously contracted to provide Specialist Cloud Services under G-Cloud 8, BMT has extensive experience of working with government departments including the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
Simon Gould, Managing Director of BMT Hi-Q Sigma comments: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS). Cloud computing has brought about a step change in the economics and sustainability of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The Government is committed to the adoption of cloud computing and delivering computing resources. The G-Cloud framework is an interactive programme of work to achieve this which will deliver fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates ICT.
“We place great emphasis on skills and knowledge transfer which means that not only will our experienced, multi-skilled team provide the insight to determine the optimal solution, they will work closely with our customers so that they understand the approach and can implement it successfully to achieve their goals.”
With a core focus on innovation and utilisation of the latest web and mobile technologies, BMT has for the past 20 years specialised in designing, developing and supporting state-of-the-art software systems which allow Government departments and commercial organisations to work more efficiently and cost effectively. These systems have led to significant cost and effort reductions in areas including training, safety and environmental performance reporting, risk management and business administration.
BMT also enables its customers to make informed decisions about their complex programmes, including their ICT transformation initiatives, by providing them with clear information generated by the integration of Programme Management, Enterprise Architecture, simulation and other investment analysis techniques. Decisions can be made with a full understanding of the impact on programme outcomes and the benefits they will deliver.
