BMT Fluid Mechanics (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group, the leading international design, engineering and risk management consultancy, has announced the appointment of Dr Michelle Cushion as Managing Director. Michelle will also take on the role of Global Director of Wind Engineering.
Previously Managing Director of Safran Engineering Services, Michelle has over 12 years aerospace and 16 years mechanical engineering experience with a proven track record in developing people and strengthening management teams in order to maximise company profitability and efficiency.
Michelle comments: “It’s fantastic to be given the opportunity to be part of an internationally recognised engineering consultancy and I’m looking forward to working with the team and building on its success in providing world leading expertise in fluid/structure interactions and building physics for both the civil construction and oil and gas industries.”
Responsible for implementing the strategy, direction and policies of the business, Michelle will be focusing on further developing a culture of customer satisfaction and teamwork, capitalizing on the organisation’s people and skills worldwide. By sharing its technical prowess, BMT can grow its targeted customer base, offering innovative services in an ever-changing global market.

Michelle has a PhD, a First Class Honours Degree, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
