BMT Design & Technology (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group, the leading international design, engineering and risk management consultancy, has announced the appointment of Peter Behrendt as Managing Director.
Previously Head of the Ports and Terminals business unit within Saab, Peter has a strong track record of business transformation and hands-on leadership within both the naval and civil maritime domain.

He is a proven business leader with an impressive track record across international defence and infrastructure programmes that will serve BMT very well as we continue to grow our defence and security interests in the Australian market."
Peter has a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering, a Graduate Diploma of Marine Science and an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.

BMT has been awarded a prime contract to conduct industry studies for the U.S. Navy’s T-ARC(X) cable ship replacement program. The contract consists of capability and cost trade studies in key areas, investigation of options to maximize affordability and producibility, and development of a concept design.
