Michal van Berkel

Marine Surveyor

Michal obtained his certificate of competence as Maritime Officer at the Nautical Academy in Rotterdam in 2011. After he served on cruise liners in both nautical as well as engineering roles, he worked as engineer in servicing and commissioning technical and electrical systems on board seagoing vessel. In 2013 Michal joined Damen Shipyards where he worked as project engineer in dry dock projects and technical projects after which he was given the opportunity to set up a maintenance system as project manager at a well-known research and inspection institute.  

Michal brings along over 10 years of nautical and technical experience which is a welcome contribution to BMT’s overall survey offering in P&I and H&M investigations. He will be stationed in the Rotterdam office.
