Aimée Tent

Fire Investigator

Aimée Tent has a Bachelor degree in Forensic Science. Aimée graduated in June 2021 from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) with Forensic Investigation as a major and a minor in Psychology.
As part of her graduation program, Aimée completed two internships with BMT during which, in the 3rd year of her study, she investigated to what extent the BMT fire investigations comply with the scientific method as described in the NFPA 921 Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations. BMT’s fire investigators achieved a score of 99%. As part of her thesis in her final year she investigated the level of data that should be available to an insurance fraud investigator in order to be able to carry out an objective and proper investigation.
Aimée joined BMT in July 2021. With her joining, the Fire Investigation Department not only expanded their capabilities in performing technical fire investigations, but also took a future step in insurance fraud investigations.
