BMT is attending Shipyard visit to Cammell-Laid Shipbuilders & Ship-Repairers
The recent publication of the government’s National Shipbuilding Strategy heralds the potential resurgence of shipbuilding in various UK shipyards.
It will therefore become ever more important for the UK maritime industry supply chain to be fully aware of the capabilities of the UK shipyards around the country.
To this end a series of shipyard visits is being arranged so that companies can thereby become acquainted with the infrastructure that has been developed in each shipyard as well as its current and future programme of work.
The first visit will be to Cammell-Laird Shipbuilders and Ship-repairers in Birkenhead and will include a tour of the yard to view progress on the polar research vessel, the Sir David Attenborough, under construction at the yard.
