Who are we?

BMT delivers independent engineering and design capabilities for UK and international defence customers. We apply our engineering knowledge to new and varied challenges from helping and advising customers with engineering projects to supporting the creation and realisation of new designs of defence systems. Although best known for our expertise in naval platform design, we provide engineering consultancy, design solutions and research across the defence and security domains.

The role

The Marketing Executive will play an integral role in the continued success of the company. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working with the Marketing Managers you will be involved with developing marketing collateral, maintaining online and social media presence, organising events and supporting thought leadership activities.

The main responsibilities of this role will be to:

  • Provide assistance in the development and execution of business-enabling marketing campaigns
  • Support the wider business with content creation such as newsletters, marketing materials and digital activities
  • Assist with the organisation of events, taking the lead and responsibility for designated events
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably required to assist in the efficient and profitable operation of the company
  • Maintain and advise on brand consistency throughout the organisation

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, have a flair for writing and be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

To be considered for this position you must also have had at least a year’s experience working in a similar role. Previous experience of copywriting, managing social media channels, HTML, SEO, Adobe creative suite and using/maintaining Sharepoint is desirable.

You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong communication skills.
