BMT DEEP can be used to collect water quality telemetered data from on-site sensors, undertake quality control and present the complete time series in the context of water quality objectives to assess the environmental performance of operations. With such an automated warning system stakeholders are alerted of any potential exceedances, the impact of these and details of their location.
To help preserve marine ecosystems and prevent marine pollution during dredging operations as required by the NAGD (National Assessment Guidelines for Dredging) guidelines, complex statistical methods are set to control limits. BMT collects environmental data in and around the dredge area to monitor sediment and water quality and assess the impact on marine flora and fauna.
The BMT DEEP dashboard allows the user to filter and easily compare geographical and temporal trends in the dataset.
As part of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for new urban developments, ground water and surface water data for 100's of variables are collected monthly over a long time period. By creating an interactive dashboard on BMT DEEP users can toggle between sites and view variables to visualise deviations from baseline and correlate behaviour of ground water and surface water.
