The Role

Climate change is one of the most significant threats to our planet and everyone on it. Its impacts will be felt globally across society, the environment and economies. BMT believes it has a role to play in supporting our clients, including both government and private sector businesses, address the challenges associated with climate change.

BMT is developing a significant pipeline of climate change projects and we are seeking a Climate Change Consultant to support the work of an increasingly busy team.

About the role

In this full-time, permanent position based in either Sydney or Melbourne (with opportunities to work from home), you will be part of our broader environmental team and report to a Senior Principal Consultant who is an expert in climate change adaptation and environment management.

The role will provide strategic support and technical input into a range of climate change projects being delivered across Australia.

About you

You will be degree-qualified in a relevant technical field and have been working in a similar role for climate change and environmental issues for at least 5 years. You know the landscape and know the key players. You will have had hands on experience in climate change adaptation and climate risk assessments.

You are passionate about climate change and the environment and know how to convert opportunities to projects. Your experience of working on climate change and environment issues will enable you to effectively engage with internal stakeholders to clearly articulate our climate change programs.
