BMT is currently looking to recruit a Hydraulic Modeller / Hydrologist to join our Flood Risk Management team. Reporting to a Senior/Principal Engineer, you will join a growing team of hydrologists, hydraulic modellers and environmental specialists delivering projects in the water and marine environment sectors.
The role requires direct contact with clients and regulators working on a broad spectrum of challenging projects at local, regional and national scale. Our clients include regulators (e.g the Environment Agency), local government bodies, private developers and investors. The type of hydraulic modeling can vary from river, surface water, integrated catchment modelling, through to coastal inundation and water quality modelling.

BMT are the software developers of the award winning and globally recognized TUFLOW suite of products. A role within the Flood Risk Management team will provide direct access to the software developers and support teams. This provides a unique opportunity to receive training and mentorship from international TUFLOW experts, access to new features prior to their commercial release and the ability to influence the direction of the software.

This role would be based from one of three offices: Aberdeen, Leeds or London. Under the UK Government's current COVID-19 guidelines, however, all our employees are working from home unless they are required to work in a BMT Office by exception.
