BMT’s Asset Performance Service business line comprises specialists from across the entire range of disciplines needed to address a full spectrum of engineering management issues.
Our services span the complete lifecycle of ownership and they blend enterprise level consultancy, solving real world business critical problems, with the finest engineering pedigree. In this way we help our clients ensure that goals for cost, performance, safety, supportability and legal compliance will be met.
What’s the role?
Due to growth, we are seeking Supportability Consultants to support the delivery of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programmes and related projects to schedule and budget.
You will engage in various ILS related engineering tasks including, but not limited to, ILS Management Planning, Supportability Analysis, a variety of Modelling and Simulation activities (LORA, FMECA, TAs etc), Maintenance Engineering, Reliability & Maintainability, and Spares Provisioning / Inventory Management.
As a Supportability Consultant you will have had experience in or exposure to the tailoring of ILS programmes, including engagement with some of the requisite ILS planning documentation required to meet the client’s project and ILS objectives. Experience of the UK MoD [DE&S] Supportability Assurance requirements and the governing policies of their Support Solutions Development Tool and Envelope would be advantageous.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for new team members with a desire to build on their foundation of ILS knowledge and experience within Supportability and ILS Management activities. You will be familiar with the applicable ILS related standards (for example DEF STAN 00-600, the Defence Logistics Framework, and the ASD Series). You will have demonstrable experience in elements of the ILS spectrum and have a desire to grow into a matured ILS Practitioner/Supportability Engineer.
As much of our work is directly customer focused, your effective communications skills and ability to present complex information to a range of stakeholders is crucial.
To thrive in this role you will be self-motivated, with a logical and pragmatic approach to problem solving. You will have a flexible approach and a genuine enthusiasm to contribute to the continued growth of a successful business.
We value professional qualifications and registration with professional institutions, however, we can provide training, tailored experience and support to achieve these, if not already held.
Please note, the successful candidates will need to hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Government security clearance at SC level.
