Mission / Combat Systems Specialists

Job Details

The Role

What is the role?

We are currently looking for Mission/ Combat Systems specialists to join our team in one of our UK offices, in Bath, Fareham or Plymouth.  The role is a mixture of technical knowledge and project delivery as much of our work is engineering consultancy focussed so you can expect a broad and varied job.

We are looking for someone who actively maintains knowledge in the Maritime Combat Systems specialist area so you are able to give our customers the best possible advice. You would be responsible for providing detailed and specific advice regarding the application of your specialism to the organisation's planning and operations, and you will be required to collaborate with other specialists, where appropriate, to ensure advice given is appropriate to the needs of the organisation.

You will be required to identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project. Agreeing project approach with stakeholders, and preparing realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) will be key to the role.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are interested or experienced Maritime Combat System Engineers.  Whether your background is as an operator, maintainer and designer or if you have a relevant background in engineering or science, we can offer appropriate training and career progression to support you.

Our work is broad and spread from providing acquisition support to new equipment programmes, supporting the design of new warships and submarines as well as providing in-service support services advice around the world.

We value professional qualifications and registration with professional institutions and can provide training, experiences and support to achieve these if not held presently.

Much of our work is directly customer focused so the ability to present and articulate work clearer whilst relaying sometimes complex principles or information is important.
