About the role
Due to the current and future workload requirements within BMT, we are looking for Graduates to join our Systems Engineering Capability within our Engineering Discipline.
We are looking for graduates who have the following;
Working as a Systems Engineer in this technical consultancy focused role will provide the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and research, with the ability to influence your training and project experience to find a path which you find great personal and professional satisfaction. As a graduate, you can expect to receive training from our experienced Engineers, who are also keen to support you on your journey towards professional qualification and paper publication where appropriate. Whilst also helping you along your journey to Professional Registration (Chartered Status).
This is a hybrid role, where you can work from home and one of our UK offices (Bath, Bristol, London, Fareham, Weymouth) although we have a preference for you to work in the South West. Depending on projects needs you will be expected to travel to customer sites and BMT offices from time to time. What is the Graduate Programme?
As a BMT graduate, you will be part of an exciting 2-year development programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience that you will need to propel your career to the next level. You will be paired with a mentor who will support your development within BMT and you will receive a tailored training programme.
BMT partner and have close relationships with many of the professional institutions so if Chartership is a route that you are interested in, we will support you by paying the membership fees for your chosen institution and you will receive a chartership mentor who will help support you with your application.
About you
We are looking for pro-active, keen and committed graduate engineers to join our talented and dynamic team of Systems Engineers who work across a range of technical projects, helping solve our customers’ problems and delivering them innovative, bespoke solutions. Working alongside our clients on both new and existing projects, ranging from submarines to soldiers to cyber defence.
You will have a good grounding in critical thinking, able to solve complex problems in a variety of engineering and technical domains as both an individual as a member of a larger multidisciplinary team with an understanding of the different areas of a system/project lifecycle.
This role requires full UK security clearance so you must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
